New South Belfast water fault

We are aware of a new fault around the Belvoir, Carryduff, Newtownbreda and Saintfield Road area of South Belfast.

We have notified NI Water directly and we will update you as soon as we receive new information about this situation. At present NI Water are not aware of what is causing this fault.

If you are in need of water, supplies are available at the following locations within the Borough of Castlereagh:

  • Castlereagh Borough Council, Civic Offices, Bradford Court (opposite Forestside Shopping Centre)
  • Belvoir Activity Centre, Belvoir Drive
  • Enler Complex, Ballybeen
  • Cregagh Youth and Community Centre, Mount Merrion Avenue

Quantities of water will be limited to 20 litres per household, and will be subject to availability from NI Water. Residents must bring their own containers and water must be boiled before use.

Castlereagh Borough Council has also set up an emergency incident line to offer supplementary advice and assistance to residents who have been affected by disruptions to their water supplies.
