McGimpsey welcomes Nicholson’s launch of latest version of his funding booklet

Ulster Unionist MLA Michael McGimpsey has welcomed a new funding booklet launched by Jim Nicholson, Ulster Unionist MEP at Parliament Buildings Stormont.

Michael McGimpsey said:

“I was very pleased to attend the launch of Jim Nicholson’s new booklet – “An Introduction to European and Local Funding Opportunities” at Parliament Buildings.

“The launch was well attended by various community groups from across Northern Ireland, including groups set up to help Victims and Survivors of the Troubles; mental health organisations; education groups and charities to help those with disabilities.

“I have no doubt that these and many other groups will benefit from Jim’s booklet and would urge anyone who requires any assistance to call into my constituency office in Sandy Row.”

“The booklet can also be downloaded via the following link – http://www.uup.org/eufundingbooklet

Speaking at the launch Mr Nicholson said:

“In my role as a Member of The European Parliament for Northern Ireland, I meet a wide range of organisations and community groups across the Province that are having a difficult time trying to secure the financial support that is necessary to guarantee their future. I understand that sourcing funding for any type of project can be a complex process, and that is why I have produced this booklet.”

“Included in this booklet is an introduction and overview to various funding opportunities at both European and local level that are available to help with everything from environmental projects to sporting clubs, church groups, charities and individuals.”
