Ulster Unionist Assembly Member for South Belfast Michael McGimpsey has welcomed the news that a Post Office will be situated on the Lisburn Road.
In a statement Mr McGimpsey said, “Following the announcement shortly before Christmas of the closure of the Post Office located at The Cooperative Food supermarket on the Lisburn Road, I made representations on behalf of constituents to the Post Office raising concerns that this closure would mean that there would be no Post Office between the Shaftesbury Square and Finaghy area. A Post Office plays a vital role in the personal finances of many people. I am pleased with the news that there will be a replacement. The new Post Office will be situated at the Mace on the Lisburn Road and is scheduled for opening in March.”
